Martha mine Waihi

Waihi is a small town on the east cost of the North Island. There is population around 4,700 people.Waihi is well known as a gold mining town in New Zealand. There is an open pit mine like in the picture below, as well two underground mines. Martha MIne is the name of the open pit mine.They mine ore and then take out the gold and silver from this rock.Favona and trio are the names of the under ground mines in Waihi. They also mine ore in these places. Martha mine is in Whaihi township. It is 110KM away from the City Auckland.It is near Paerou and Coromandel. By Hami,Kellen and Dan
