Gabby's Weekend

In the weekend on Saturday, I am going to go to Wellington with only Mum and nobody else. I am so excited because we are going to see my sister and Wade her boyfriend. We might stay the night. My brothers, Hunter and Cory and my dad are going to have a movie night.

A Weekend With Stellar

Thank you for sharing your weekend with Q Bear.  It looks like you have a great time using your imagination and creating great games.  Q Bear really enjoyed hearing his favourite book.

The New Webs

We read the big book 'The New Webs'.  We looked at the shapes of the new webs and whether they would work.  Then we had a quick look at a real web and made our own.  We sponged the paint on the background.  Next we drew the webs and glued glitter to them.  The spiders were made out of pipe cleaners, pompoms and googly eyes.

Mrs Bing put the pictures up on the wall after school.  The next morning there were real webs all around our pictures.  The spiders must have been very busy.



A Helping Hand

A poor little hedgehog fell into a hole by the temporary toilets.  Mark and Marcel told Mrs Bing after lunch.  So, Mrs Bing, Mark, Matthew and  Ethan went hunting.  The little fellow had no way of getting out of the hole.  After having a look, we went in search of Mr Belk and borrowed a pair of his leather gloves.  Mrs Bing had to get onto her knees and reach right down into the hole to get the hedgehog out.    As soon as she touched it it curled up into a ball.  Before we took it up to the top garden,  we took it around all the junior classes so they could have a look at another member of Manchester Street School.
  
Mark held the safety fence aside so Mrs Bing could get close to the hole.  Matthew took the pictures and Ethan supervised.  Well done, Boys.
