Some of Room N's Mummy Recounts

The Mummified Fish
First we dried the pilchard with a paper towel.  After that we filled the fish body with baking soda.  Next we put baking soda into the zip up bag.    I felt like I was going to hurl.  After a week, we brushed the fish.  The baking soda had been taking the moisture out of the fish body.  We did it over and over again.  At the end we had mummified fish.

Mummified Fish
First we dried the fish with paper towels.  Next we put baking soda in the cavity.  Then we filled the bag with baking soda.  We put the fish in the bag.  The next week, we got the fish out of the bag.  Next we put new baking soda in the fish and baking soda in the bag.  Then we put the fish back in the bag.  We did it the same the following weeks.  At last the fish was all wrinkly and hard.
